Aquawatch Partner Spotlight
Case study

AquaWatch provide monitoring solutions for proactive water management using advanced technology and intelligent hardware, to government agencies, environmental groups, and businesses.

Joining Moananui and relocating to Nelson in early 2024 opened doors to new opportunities and accelerated their growth. Partnering with fellow cluster member Snap Core has allowed AquaWatch to scale at pace, transitioning from startup to growth stage. Collaborations with other Moananui members, such as Plant & Food Research and Kernohan Engineering, further demonstrate the benefits of being part of this thriving ecosystem.

AquaWatch attribute their success to Moananui’s significant support. “Moananui is bringing a huge amount of value and is intrinsic to what we’re trying to achieve. It’s refreshing and inspiring to see so many organisations eager to collaborate, work together, and drive the growth of both the region and New Zealand’s blue economy” states James Muir, CTO and Founder, AquaWatch.

Moananui’s presence in Nelson has cultivated a dynamic regional ecosystem, driving collaboration and sparking innovation within New Zealand’s blue economy—crucial for supporting businesses such as AquaWatch.
